It’s pronounced like “Julia”
And I’m a Miami-based writer and journalist. I’m currently an intern at POLITICO where I cover criminal justice reform for the legislative session. I’m also working towards my M.A. in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I am a fully funded Roy H. Park Fellow. This June, I’ll be joining The New York Times as one of its 2021-2020 reporting fellows.
I’m a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), the Carolina Association of Black Journalists (CABJ) and the Association of LGBTQ Journalists (NLGJA).
You can find my work in other outlets like the New York Times, The Atlantic, CNN, HuffPost, Atlas Obscura and The New Republic.
P.S. Follow me on Twitter (I’m hilarious)
